Just Days To Go – We ask Cycloners How They’re Feeling

Published on October 12th, 2017

With our third Cyclone24 Wales almost upon us, we took to Twitter to find out just how our Cycloners were feeling. Were they excited, nervous, living in disbelief at how quickly it had come around, or just ready and raring to go!

We can’t wait! Jerseys are ready & the training is underway! #TeamOfficeImg #Cyclone24Wales

This is what we like to hear! Teamwork is at the very heart of Cyclone24 and as the saying goes ‘If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together’.  We think Office Image will go far!

The current feeling is why in heavens name did I sign up for this
Ken Dick @Kend72 October, 11th, 2017

Don’t worry Ken, you’ll have your team with you every step of the way and you’ll soon be wondering why it took so long to convince yourself to sign up in the first place!

Our team is very *excited* for the Cyclone24 challenge #gulp
TWL Voice & Data @twlvoiceanddata October 9th, 2017

Excited is exactly how you should be feeling. We also know that the TWL team has been doing some track and road training together and with their great team sprit we know they’ll smash through the 24 hours!

We are looking forward to being part of the challenge and raising money for Barnados #Velodrome #Cyclone24

There’s a huge sense of achievement when your team crosses the finish line after 24 hours. A feeling which is made all the better by knowing you’ve been supporting a cause you care about. When your legs are burning, your heart wants to jump out of your chest and you are so tired you can barely speak, remember why it is you are taking part in Cyclone24. You’ve achieved something extraordinary and you’ve helped others in the process.

I’m still in the denial stage, it’s not for ages yet
Richard Carter @Monsieur_The October 11th, 2017

Ages indeed, 10 whole days to be precise. We’ll let Richard off for this comment however, as he’s completed Cyclone24 before, albeit in Manchester, so he knows exactly how to prepare and what to expect!

Remember whether you’re a little nervous, raring to go, or unsure what to expect, Cyclone24 is all about team spirit and camaraderie. We’re all in it together. For 24 hours. See you on the boards.
